DISCLAIMER

We’ve used images to represent the narrative from the era, but they may not exactly match the time and place specified, due to the dearth of film and photographs on this specific subject. We also included some recreated images to give an impression based on the narrative. A 1940s report on Polish atrocities against the German minority in Poland has been a source of explicit images of deceased individuals we have used in the film.

This is one perspective on Poland's German population and the interwar period. The author's emphasis on the atrocities committed against Germans does not suggest that the atrocities committed against Polish people were to be condoned (nor any other atrocities committed by any side of the conflict). Understanding the perspectives from all sides of this complex war is crucial for gaining insightful and informative lessons from this tragic episode of our history.
